This ice ballet was created by Melissa A. Thompson, former creative director of Cirque du Soleil. H.C. Andersen sets “The Snow Queen” in mythical Lapland. It is a story about the power of friendship: The plot delves into Finnish mythology and tells the story of Kai, a little boy who is captured by the Snow Queen. Kai’s friend Gerda does everything to free her boyfriend from the Snow Queen’s clutches.
