The Philharmonics, an ensemble founded by members of the Vienna Philharmonic, fill Café Sperl with some of the most authentic Viennese sounds imaginable – the Strauß waltzes arranged and performed by Schoenberg, Berg, and Webern in May 1921 to raise funds for their groundbreaking “Society for Private Musical Performances.” They maintain the authentic atmosphere with Godowsky’s homage to the city, “Alt-Wien,” and a handful of Kreisler gems.
