In 2002 she released her debut album “Talking Jazzik” which featured Austrian jazz musicians such as Fritz Pauer and Karlheinz Miklin. More recently she has taken a more international focus. 10.07. 18:00 h | Jazzfest Wien - Her

18:00 - 19:30

Singer Simon Carpentier did not live to see the release of the debut album of his soul-pop band Her he founded together with Victor Solf. A treacherous cancer ended the life of the expressive vocalist. The two musicians from Rennes first gained notoriety with the song "Five Minutes" which was a huge success. It was used as a soundtrack for an iPhone campaign and generated 6.7 million streams on Spotify within a short time. The sound of Her is dandylike, sometimes soulful, then again discreetly unruly, conjuring up an intelligent sound caleidoscope that sounds like nothing else. Solf and his bandmates continue to make music in the spirit of Simon Carpentier.
