Prince Tamino is sent by the Queen of the Night to rescue her daughter Pamina, who has been kidnapped by Sarastro. By his side is the bird catcher Papageno. Tamino receives a magic flute, Papageno a magical glockenspiel, to tame wild animals, pass trials, and solve riddles. Who will triumph – night or day? Good or evil? In the end, love alone emerges victorious.
