Sylvia

Composer: Léo Delibes. Conductor: Kevin Rhodes

© Wiener Staatsballett Ashley Taylor

The names of Louis Mérante, Léo Staats, Serge Lifar, Albert Aveline and Lycette Darsonval represent a very typically "French" tradition of the ballet "Sylvia", that Manuel Legris also feels deeply interconnected with. His new version, which at the same time is his second full-length choreography for the Wiener Staatsballett, focuses primarily on heterogeneous possibilities for the unfolding of pure dancing once again furnished richly in detail by Luisa Spinatelli.

Soloists: Wiener Staatsballett
