‘“Bastien And Bastienne” recounts the love story of two shepherds. The plot of “The Impresario” is centred around the impresario Frank, who wishes to recruit members to form a new theatrical troupe. Stage director Thomas Reichert reimagines and combines these two operas in the innovative setting of the celebrated Salzburg Marionnette Theatre. By using two Bastiennes instead of one, he shows that it is sometimes difficult to decide between two artists.
